Swing trading classes for people who can't watch the screen all day
Most working professionals in Pune can't trade intraday. The market opens while you're commuting to Hinjewadi or starting a shift, and it closes before you're free. Swing trading fits that life better. You study charts after hours, plan the trade, place your entry and stop, and let the market do the rest over the next few days.
It isn't easier than intraday, just slower. Holding overnight brings its own risks: gaps, results announcements and news you can't react to in time. So this course spends as much time on stop placement, sizing and event risk as it does on setups. By the end you'll have two or three setups you understand properly and a weekly routine to find them.
This course is for you if
- You work during market hours and want to trade after them
- You can already read a chart and mark levels
- You want fewer, better-planned trades
- You can leave a trade alone once it's placed
It's not for you if
- You want quick profits by the end of the day
- You're brand new to charts (start with Technical Analysis)
- You want stock picks sent to you
- You'd move your stop to avoid taking a loss
How our swing trading classes are run
Built around a working day
Classes teach a routine you can run in 20 to 30 minutes after work: scan, shortlist, plan, place orders. No screen-watching during office hours.
Setups you can name
We focus on three swing setups and study each one across dozens of past charts, until you can spot it quickly and explain why it works.
Weekly scan practice
Between classes you run the evening scan on past weeks and write up two trade plans. On Thursdays we compare everyone's picks and reasons.

Swing trading terms you'll learn to use
- Daily candle
- One candle per trading day. Swing traders read the market in days, not minutes.
- Swing low
- The lowest point before price turned up. Stops usually go just below it.
- Swing high
- The highest point before price turned down. Breaking it can signal the next leg.
- Base breakout
- Price leaves a tight sideways range on higher volume. A core swing setup.
- 20-day average
- The average close of the last 20 days. Healthy uptrends often pull back to it.
- Relative strength
- How a stock is doing compared with the index. Swing traders look for the strongest.
- Trend alignment
- When weekly and daily charts point the same way. Setups work better with it.
- Event risk
- Results, policy news or global events that can move a stock overnight.
- Trailing stop
- A stop you raise as the trade moves in your favour, locking in part of the move.
- R-multiple
- Your result measured in units of the risk you planned. A loss of 1R means you lost exactly what you planned to.
Walk through a real case, one line at a time
This is a swing trade from our week 2 practice set, replayed on past daily charts. It lost money over a results announcement, which is exactly why it earns a place in the course.
- Market data at least 30 days old, per SEBI's education rules
- Losing trades on the board, not just the winners
- Paper-traded first, so the habit forms before real money
The weekly scan flagged this stock: it had beaten the index for three months, with each dip bought quickly.
Price eased back to its 20-day average over three calm sessions, with volume well below normal. A textbook week 2 pullback.
The order was placed the evening before: buy only if price trades above the high of the pullback. It filled the next morning.
The stop sat just under the pullback low, and the size was set so that a stop-out would cost 1% of the account.
The company reported results on day four. The stock opened below the stop, and the order sold at the open.
Because the open was below the stop, the loss was slightly more than planned. The position size kept it small.
Nothing was wrong with the chart. The results date was. Since then, every swing plan in class starts with the company's calendar.
Tools you'll use in our swing trading classes
Swing trading runs on a weekly routine, so the tools are about scanning and planning rather than speed. All are free, and we set them up in week one.

Swing trading course timings and details
Most swing students are working professionals, so weekday batches run in the evening and weekend batches in the morning. Both cover the same four modules.
New batches start every month. Ask on WhatsApp for the next one.
Sharad Gaikwad
Sharad's trading career taught him that fewer, better-planned trades beat constant activity. The swing course is built on that idea: plan in the evening, act at the open, then leave the trade alone.
"A swing trade is decided the evening before. By the time the market opens, your only job is to leave it alone."
How to choose a swing trading course in Pune
Swing courses often skip the part that hurts: overnight risk. Use these six questions to check a course takes it seriously.
Read our full comparison of Pune institutes →- 01 Does it teach overnight risk? Gaps and results can hurt swing trades. A good course spends real time on them.
- 02 Is the routine realistic for your schedule? Ask how many minutes a day the method needs. It should fit around work.
- 03 Do they promise weekly returns? Any 'X% a week' claim is a red flag. Markets don't pay on a schedule.
- 04 Do they trade live in class? SEBI requires education to use data at least 30 days old. Live picks are a warning sign.
- 05 Will they show losing trades? If every example is a winner, you're watching marketing, not learning.
- 06 Do they send stock picks? That's advice, not education. You should learn to find your own trades.
What is swing trading?
Swing trading means holding a trade for a few days to a few weeks to capture one move in price. You plan trades after market hours, so it suits people who can't watch the screen all day.
Is this swing trading course in Pune good for working professionals?
Yes, that's who it's designed for. Classes are on weekends or weekday evenings, and the method only needs about 20 to 30 minutes each evening to scan and plan.
Do I need technical analysis before this course?
Yes, ideally. This course assumes you can read candlesticks and mark support and resistance. Our Technical Analysis course covers that in six weeks and leads straight into this one.
Is swing trading safer than intraday?
It's slower, not safer. You make fewer decisions, but holding overnight means gaps and news can move prices against you. That's why a full week of this course is about stops, sizing and event risk.
How long is the swing trading course?
It runs for 4 weeks, one module a week. Weekend batches meet on Saturday and Sunday, and weekday batches meet on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7:30 pm. New batches start every month.
Do you trade live in class?
No. SEBI's rules for education require market data to be at least 30 days old, and we follow them. All practice is on past charts and paper trades.
Can I join online?
Yes. Every batch runs live online alongside the Katraj classroom, with recordings shared the same day.
Is it taught in Marathi?
Yes. Concepts are explained in Marathi and English. Chart terms stay in English as they appear on screen.
Do you share swing trade ideas or stock picks?
No. We are an education institute, not a SEBI-registered adviser. We teach you to find and plan your own trades, and never share stock picks.
How do I get fee details?
We share fee details at the free demo class or on WhatsApp, along with what the group and 1-to-1 plans include.
